Background Summary

With a varied background including medical research and work for NASA, I bring a unique perspective to graphic design. My formal education consists of a BSc (Honours) and a MSc from Dalhousie University. After doing scientific illustration and layout I decided to explore the more creative aspects of graphic design and switched to a career in commercial design. I now have over 27 years experience in the field of graphic design, visual communication, and web design/coding where I apply my strong technical knowledge and attention to detail. My skills include creative direction, design software proficiency, project management, problem solving, data analytics, and the day to day operations of running a business. I am detail oriented and I ensure that everything is done on time, to spec. My concepts and designs have driven many successful campaigns for clients in retail, professional services, the arts, government, and non-profits.
